Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Join us as a Staff Research Associate I, where you'll support cutting-edge cancer research as a Laboratory Assistant, working closely with the Principal Investigator. Contribute to vital studies of cardiovascular projects such as the elucidation of intracellular signaling pathway in ventricle specific growth using mouse models and cell culture system. As well as biomechanical regulation of ventricle specific growth using mouse models and cell culture system.

Responsibilities encompass mice breeding, attending to rodent hearts, biological experiments, and presenting data.

Salary: $26.52 - $31.63/hour


Job Qualifications

Required: 

  • Experience following strict research protocols
  • Experience working with a diverse research population.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and experience communicating with a diverse population, in order to recruit participants and conduct interviews
  • This position requires the SRA to pay great attention to detail, to work independently, to be self-motivated, to be able to prioritize tasks, and to have good interpersonal and written communication skills. The SRA must be familiar with using computer programs such as Excel and Word, and be able to work cooperatively in a group.

Preferred:

  • Previous clinical or health services research experience.
  • Excellent writing skills, as evidenced by co-authorship or authorship of research or technical reports, in order to write or edit correspondence, progress reports, and research papers.
  • Experience applying knowledge of health services research methodology and principles to coordinating multi-phase research projects.
  • Experience coordinating projects.
