Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, you will perform a variety of duties in cleaning and sanitation under the direct supervision of the Patient Services Manager and Supervisors. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping and waxing floors. 
  • Washing walls, doors, windows, light fixtures, discarding trash in waste bins. 
  • Clean, sanitize and reline all trash containers and linen hampers. 
  • Wash and steam rubber floor mats. 
  • Responsible for cleaning and proper storage of housekeeping equipment and report all equipment malfunctions to supervisor on duty. 
  • Responsible for washing dishes, pans, utensils and small equipment according to established procedures.
  • Adhere to prescribed safety and sanitation practices and procedures. 

This is a part-time "as needed" per diem position; schedule and working hours will vary. In addition to the Ronald Reagan Medical Center, this position may be required to work at other UCLA Health sites including the Santa Monica Hospital. May convert to Career.

Salary Range: $25.05-$25.05 Hourly

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to read and write, follow oral and written instructions in English language.
  • Ability to work in standing position for a long period of time, stretch, stoop, bend, climb, and reach repetitively.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold and/or wet areas; lift 40 lbs and push/pull 350 lbs.
  • Knowledge in the use, disposal, and labeling of chemicals used in a food service setting.
  • Ability to conform to dress code and work in a non-smoking environment.
  • Ability to practice safe food handling techniques.
  • Ability to adjust to fluctuating work load and work schedule.
  • Interpersonal skills and interact effectively with co-workers, customers, asst. managers and managers.
  • Ability to travel to multiple UCLA Health locations.
