Primary Duties and Responsibilities

As a Laboratory Technician 2 of the Immunohistochemistry unit, you will play an integral role on our team, contributing to various tasks including:

·       Performing immunohistochemical staining procedures

·       Tracking stained slides for distribution

·       Preparing slides for send-out to reference labs

·       Maintaining laboratory equipment

·       Providing support for the laboratory Help Desk to address customer needs

Salary Range: $32.77 – $43.22/hour

Job Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED or HiSET).

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to speak clearly and distinctly to answer telephones and communicate with departmental and hospital personnel.

• Strong time management skills and ability to assess and prioritize simultaneously running processes.

• Ability to work overtime based on operational needs.
