Join our esteemed team as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in Virology, where you will play a pivotal role in disease detection, diagnosis, and treatment. As a CLS, you will be instrumental in upholding the highest standards of healthcare by performing critical laboratory tests, ensuring accuracy in results, and contributing to groundbreaking research initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests, including specimen processing, analysis, and interpretation.
• Prepare reagents, perform quality control and calibration for test systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Maintain and repair laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and adherence to safety standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care and support research initiatives.
• Utilize advanced instrumentation and technology, including Roche cobas 4800/6800/8800, Roche cobas Liat, GenMark ePlex, Thermo Fisher Scientific Applied Biosystems 7500 Fast Dx Real-Time PCR System, DiaSorin Liaison MDX, Biomerieux NucliSens easyMag and others, to drive innovation in Virology.
Salary Range: $53.31 - $71.04/hour
Job Qualifications

• A current, valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License (CLS)
• Bachelor’s degree
• At least two years of technical and practical experience in Virology and/or Microbiology, preferred.
• Proficiency in operating PCR instruments (e.g. Roche cobas 4800/6800/8800, GenMark ePlex, DiaSorin Liaison MDX), centrifuges, water baths, BSC, and other laboratory equipment, preferred.
• Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e. visual acuity including color differentiation.
