Primary Duties and Responsibilities

You will provide leadership and direction for UCLA Health's Senior Focused Care service line, reporting to the Sr. Director for Primary Care, Medicine Specialties and Ophthalmology. The Clinical Director will also report to the Executive Medical Director of the clinical ambulatory and community practice. Incumbent will implement business and administration goals specific to the Senior Focused Care service line. By following UCLA Health approved guidelines and metrics, and evaluating business processes and operational and/or financial effectiveness to help ensure the financial viability and success. You will implement UCLA Health long-range business plans related to the service line.  In collaboration with the Executive Medical Director, you will recommend strategies for performance improvement, productivity metrics, cost containment, strategic investments and growth related to the service line. 

Salary range: 102,500-227,700 annual

Job Qualifications

Required:

· Master’s degree (Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public health or related field) or combination of education and relevant experience. 

· Five to seven years of healthcare managerial experience required

· Clinical leadership, planning and change management skills

· Management of primary care and/or medicine specialties (highly desired)

· Ability to demonstrate a high level of diplomacy in persuading and influencing a wide variety of people at various levels to achieve results

· Previous demonstrated expertise in managing patient services and nursing staffing in environment with a high volume of patient visits

· Strong knowledge of industry standards and/or regulatory requirements

· Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze all pertinent information/data to make and communicate decisions to meet the unit’s current and future needs

· Effective interpersonal and political acumen skills

· Ability to establish a culture of integrity within their unit and with those external to the units

· Strong knowledge of industry standards, trends and/or regulatory requirements

· Excellent communication skills both oral and written

· Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations and procedures to define objectives, identify patterns, and formulate conclusions

· Skill in setting priorities, which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities

· Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with faculty, residents, medical students and staff from various social, cultural and economic backgrounds

· Skill in communication to clearly convey complex problems and proposals in both formal and informal situations

· Knowledge of EPIC EHR (preferred)
