Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Surgical Tech completes surgical set-ups according to department standards and physician preference cards. The Surgical Tech is a member of the surgical team providing care to the patient and is responsible for maintaining the sterile field; surgical instrumentation; preparation of supplies and equipment; as well as other related duties. Duties include anticipating physician needs at the sterile field, preparing supplies, instruments and equipment. The Surgical Tech is responsible for implementing aseptic technique, practices related to prevention of retained foreign objects, safe medication labeling and handling, anticipatory skills related to the sequence of the procedure, specimen handling, and adhering to department policies, procedures, and practices.


Salary range: 35.86-42.23 hourly

Job Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited Surgical Technician program or relevant years of experience required or CST
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC
  • Minimum of 1 year acute care experience including Neuro, Ortho and Robotic and Urology surgeries
  • On call Weekdays and Weekends on rotational basis
