Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Join our team as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist where you will conduct various technical procedures in the Emergency Department, Anesthesiology, and Core Laboratory. Your primary duties include specimen processing, method development, testing across multiple areas such as chemistry, hematology, coagulation, immunoassay, and blood gases. You will also be responsible for maintaining laboratory instruments, performing quality control, calibration, reagent preparation, and data entry.

Salary Range: $53.31/hour - $71.04/hour

In addition to a competitive salary range, this position is also eligible for shift differentials and bonus pay.

 

Job Qualifications

Current, valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license

Bachelor’s Degree

Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays

Demonstrated technical competence in high-volume chemistry/hematology

Working knowledge of lab safety, basic lab skills (e.g., pipetting, dilutions, specimen integrity), and test methodologies

Proficiency in practical application of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions for making reagents and calculations

Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as pipetting and computer data entry

Two years of recent experience in a high-volume laboratory setting – preferred 

Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e. visual acuity including color differentiation
