Primary Duties and Responsibilities

As a Revenue Cycle Healthcare Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of hospital and physician charges related to clinical trials, research, and grants. You will:

  • Conduct daily reviews of pre-billed, billed, and denied charges to distinguish between research-related and standard-of-care activities.
  • Resolve issues involving charge edits, claims processing, and revenue cycle functions to optimize workflows.
  • Utilize clinical documentation, coding (CPT, Modifiers, ICD-10), and billing data to correct and process charges efficiently.
  • Communicate risks and compliance concerns to leadership, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with clinical research departments to serve as a subject matter expert for research-related billing activities.
  • Analyze data trends, generate reports, and contribute to process enhancements that improve revenue cycle performance.
  • Stay current on government regulations, clinical trial protocols, and industry standards to support organizational compliance.

Salary Range: $76,200–$158,800 annually

Job Qualifications

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who has:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalent experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle.
  • CCS, CCS-P, COC, CPC, or CPB certification.
  • Strong knowledge of CPT, Modifiers, ICD-10 coding.
  • Proficiency in billing systems, claims processes, and IT systems such as EPIC and OnCore.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex billing and compliance issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • RedCap experience (highly desired).
