Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Take on a rewarding role in a Magnet® designated and world-class health organization. The staff RN is a professional caregiver who provides patient care and assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients via the nursing process.

Under direct supervision of the Unit Director and Clinical Nurse Managers, the incumbent will direct nursing care of patients by means of the nursing process, leadership development and application, management, concept communication, teaching staff and patients, and maintenance of professional standards.

Job Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled, self-starter with:

·       Greater than 6 months of nursing experience required.

·       2 year’s experience as an operating room registered nurse preferred.

·       BSN required

·       Current California RN license required

·       BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.

·       Capacity to complete a nursing physical assessment.

·       Background in developing a plan of care including monitoring and documenting progress and setting goals.

·       Capability to implement interventions that align with the goals established in the plan of care.

·       Ability to delegate tasks while promoting leadership and teamwork.

·       Knowledge base to provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding clinical and patient care concerns.
