Primary Duties and Responsibilities

This will be a full-time 100% limited position in the Department of Neurosurgery in the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. Under the supervision of the Principle Investigator (PI) in the Department of Neurosurgery at UCLA, you will assist in ordering, receiving, and distributing laboratory equipment and supplies and maintaining stock solutions. You will also help with preparation for experiments by preparing standardized media, reagents and solutions. Additionally, you will help with construction, assembly, and preparation of laboratory equipment. Administrative work will also be required, including maintenance of records and workspace. You will be expected to follow all laboratory safety practices.

Please note that this is a full time one-year limited position and may convert to career .

Salary Range: $19.90 - $23.04/Hourly

 

Job Qualifications

All Required:

  • Graduation from High school or General Education Diploma (GED), and one year of laboratory experience or two years of college including courses in natural, physical, or social sciences, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
  • Ability to follow through with tasks and prioritize work under general supervision ad demonstrate excellent organization.
