Primary Duties and Responsibilities


Under the general direction of the Department Chair, Chief Administrative Office (CAO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and other Department leaders and in concert with other research administrative staff, the Fund Manager will hold primary responsibility for all post-award administration for intra/extramurally funded research awards for Departmental Principal Investigators (PIs). 

The Fund Manager develops and / or oversees research proposals, awards and / or transactions related to contract and grant management, and maintains contract and grant records in compliance with institutional and research sponsor policies. The Fund Manager will work on proposals of moderate scope such as single investigator NSF proposals where analysis of financial information or reports requires review of a variety of factors (e.g. budgets, salaries, expenses, etc.).

Please note this is a flexible hybrid position.


Salary Range: $34.14 - $52.01/Hourly

   

Job Qualifications

All Required:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • 3+ years of research administration experience. 
  • 3+ years of financial, clerical, or administrative experience. 
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate information and establish cooperative working relationships. 
  • Ability to work as a member of a team. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to set priorities and complete ongoing tasks with competing deadlines. 
  • Close attention to detail in a fast-paced, fluctuating workload environment. 
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively create and maintain administrative and financial files. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software, especially Excel.
