As the Senior LVN at the Children’s Heart Center, you will provide direct patient care under the Clinic Manager and Lead Physician's supervision. It is expected that you collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals including faculty physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, LVNs, Medical Assistants and ancillary personnel to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care delivery. As the Senior LVN your responsibilities will encompass accurately recording vital signs, administering medications and injections, recognizing symptoms of common illnesses and acting as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers. Additionally, you'll coordinate tasks, prioritize protocols and maintain high standards of care to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.

Salary: $34.61 to $45.66 Hourly

Job Qualifications

 

  • Active California LVN license with Intravenous Therapy and blood withdrawal certification - required
  • BCLS, PALS and ACLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross – required
  • At least 6 months of relevant clinical LVN experience – required
  • Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and/or procedures – preferred
  • At least 1 year of Peds experience – strongly preferred
  • Performs phlebotomy, CPR, Injections, and other skills within scope of practice
  • Ability to take vital signs, administer medications and obtain drug refills as needed
  • Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and report to the physician
