Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Semel Institute is seeking to hire a Limited Part Time SRA I to complete the duties of Neurocognitive Assessor. In this role you will assist the Aftercare Research Program staff with general research / project tasks including:

  • Administration and scoring of various cognitive, psychological, and neurocognitive measures with research participants for one or more of our current research protocols.
  • Data file management, data entry and data collection, tracking and analyzing online and library research, updating/maintenance of bibliographies, and updating reprint files.
  • Accompany Research Subjects to their appointments at other UCLA departments, tracking and triggering of research measures, filing, photocopying, faxing, and maintaining an offsite data storage inventory.
  • Help the clinical patient coordinator with patient/subject related tasks such as patient file maintenance and pick-up of medication from Pharmacy Services.

Pay Range: $26.52 - $31.63 hourly

Job Qualifications

Required: 

  • Must be able to balance competing demands and ability to multitask and adapt to fluctuating priorities. 
  • Must be detail- oriented, organized, accurate, and efficient with minimal supervision.
  • Must have excellent English oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able and willing to work with an ethnically and economically diverse patient population.
  • Proficiency in the use of standard PC office equipment and standard PC software (i.e. MS Office, Word, Excel, Internet searching) is also required.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of client information
Preferred: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience/training 
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish. 
  • Knowledge and proficiency in the use of standard office equipment, such as multi-line telephone, multi-function fax/ printer/scanner/copier machine, hi-capacity photocopier, and paper shredder for administrative tasks.
