The Administrative Assistant III (AAIII) for the Integrated Practice Unit provides high-level administrative and clinical support to ensure smooth daily operations under the direction of the Clinic Manager and unit leadership. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to scheduling patient appointments (in-person and telehealth), coordinating pre- and post-operative care, managing incoming calls and supporting communication between patients, providers and staff. The role also involves handling billing tasks, obtaining authorizations, ordering supplies and eventually serving as the unit’s designated super user. Additionally, the AAIII participates in special projects and contributes to initiatives that enhance patient care and workflow efficiency.

Salary Range: $29.42 - $42.14 Hourly

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a medical office setting – required
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of physician office policies and procedures
  • Extensive experience in organizing workflow in order to accomplish established objectives
  • Knowledge of Medical terminology
  • Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of computer fundamentals (Microsoft Office Suite/Excel/word/Outlook/PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Understanding of and experience with EMR systems
  • Understanding of budgeting and budgeting process and analytics
