Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Are you passionate about driving product innovation and enhancing customer engagement? UCLA Health is seeking a Product Manager to serve as a key liaison between OHIA and various customer groups. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, aligning them with OHIA’s solutions, and promoting adoption across UCLA Health’s self-service analytics community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement – Build relationships, facilitate meetings with prioritization committees, and match customer needs to existing or future OHIA products.
  • Product Lifecycle Management – Oversee all phases of product development, ensuring alignment with OHIA’s strategic roadmap.
  • Communication & Marketing – Develop marketing materials, training resources, and strategic communication plans to drive product adoption.
  • Training & Support – Deliver training on analytical tools, support end-user inquiries, and promote best practices in self-service BI solutions.
  • Process Improvement – Identify communication gaps, optimize workflows, and ensure compliance with UCLA Health IT standards.

SAP Webi, Tableau, MS Power BI, enterprise scheduling tools


This flexible hybrid role allows for a blend of remote and on-site work, requiring presence on-site at least 5-10%  of the time, within 96 hours of notice,  or as needed based on operational requirements. Please note, travel to the “home office” location is not reimbursed. Each employee will complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager to outline expectations and ensure mutual understanding. These arrangements are periodically reviewed and may be adjusted or terminated as necessary.

Salary offers are based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full salary range for this position is $92,600 $202,200 annually. The University anticipates offering a salary between the minimum and midpoint of this range.

Job Qualifications

Candidate must have a minimum of 2-5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in IT and the following:

·       Experience managing customer accounts or customer groups

·       Experience with managing the product lifecycle for technology based tools and solutions

·       Experience executing communications strategy for similar or larger audiences using old and new media

·       Effectiveness at leading through influence across multiple competing stakeholder groups, with above-average communication skills, both written and as a presenter.

·       Technical skill and/or ability to acquire in-depth knowledge and use of Business Intelligence products with a solid knowledge of the Business Intelligence industry and data visualization best practices

·       General knowledge of databases, data warehouses, and data management practices (preferred)

·       Knowledge of Oracle and/or SQL Server (preferred)

·       Ability to be a team player willing to cooperate and coordinate with other technical staff

·       Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative Environment.

·       Technically competent with various software programs, such as Project, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.

·       Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities

·       Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

·       Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.

·       Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.

·       Strong written and oral communication skills

·       Strong interpersonal skills.
