Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Learning and Development team, you will develop and deliver virtual and in-person instructor-led trainings including the creation and development of all learning materials and guides (PowerPoint presentations, facilitator guides, participant guides, job aids / handouts, etc.). You will build relationships with business leaders and functional groups to understand their training needs and develop and deliver tailored curriculum. You will also participate in train-the-trainer sessions when preparing to teach new or revised content, as well as to support the development of other team members. 

As our Learning and Development Specialist, you will monitor quality and effectiveness of trainings to ensure alignment with UCLA Health excellence and make recommendations for improvement based upon evaluation metrics. You will contribute to team projects that support the organization’s development such as creating new learning content and supporting new initiatives and will collaborate with Learning and Organizational Development managers to assess content and recommend improvements to the program.

Salary Range: $30.56 to $60.82 Hourly

 

Job Qualifications


  • At least two years of related professional experience.
  • Experience using CareConnect/Epic (Preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of learning and development methodologies and adult learning best practices.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to represent Learning and Organizational Development and, by extension, UCLA Health, at all trainings and special programming events.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced, complex, hybrid in-person/virtual environment.
