Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Medicine is seeking to hiring an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator to support research activities. In this role, you will conduct fieldwork involving the collection of survey and biospecimen data from research participants. A successful candidate for this role will need to be comfortable with a variable work schedule, as the timing of tasks will depend on appointments scheduled with participants. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about fieldwork in a research setting. Your enthusiasm for hands-on fieldwork and data collection and your comfort with a variable work schedule will be key assets in advancing the Department of Medicine's ongoing projects and research initiatives.

*This is a 40% limited role which may convert to career*

Hourly range: $27.08-$43.55

Job Qualifications

Required: 

  • Ability to work efficiently and complete tasks with thoroughness and accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills to effectively establish rapport, and build relationships.
  • Skills sufficient to solve problems and identify solutions
  • Ability to adapt to changing job demands and priorities; work flexible hours to accommodate research deadlines.
  • Ability to respond to situations in an appropriate and professional manner.
  • Ability to concentrate and focus in a work environment that contains distracting stimuli and competing deadlines.
  • Typing and computer skill/ability including word-processing, use of spreadsheets, email, data entry.
  • Ability to navigate numerous software programs and applications.
  • Skill in coordinating information transfer among multiple constituents.
  • Ability to collect data in the field.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a Health Care Setting
