As the Hospital Assistant II you will support the MRI Radiation Oncology Department by assisting technologists with patient preparation, safety screening, transportation and scan room setup while ensuring adherence to MR safety protocols. The role also involves maintaining workflow by coordinating with various hospital departments, managing equipment logistics and supporting patient care through clear communication and proper documentation. You will use multiple hospital information systems including CareConnect and GE PACS to track imaging data, manage scheduling and report issues. You will be expected to provide support at all radiology sites staffed by UCLA Health.

Salary Range: $22.65 - $29.92 Hourly

Job Qualifications

  • BLS certificate from American Heart Association or American Red Cross – preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Careconnect EMR System (RIS) and Hospital Information System (HIS)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GE PACSNET – Centricity computer and workstation
  • Ability to rotate to Ronald Reagan and Santa Monica Hospitals as well as all Outpatient MR sections as needed
  • Ability to prioritize work and provide frequent updates to the technical staff
  • Ability to respond efficiently to expressed needs of referring services, physicians and patients
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and diplomatically with patients, visitors, hospital staff, physicians, scientists and other outside departments both in person and over the telephone
