Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals providing high-quality respiratory care across a diverse patient population. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will deliver both routine and advanced respiratory therapy to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients in a variety of clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
  • Provide care in critical care environments, including the Intensive Care Units (ICUs), Emergency Department, and other high-acuity areas.
  • Respond to emergency situations and participate in rapid response and code teams.
  • Rotate through various departments within the Health System as needed to support patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Schedule:

  • May include rotating day and night shifts.
  • Flexibility to work in any area of the Health System is required.
The pay rate is $65.08/hour. Position may convert to career.

Job Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • AA/AS Degree, Graduate of AMA Approved 2-Year Respiratory Therapy Program or similar
  • Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or similar- preferred
  • Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)

Licenses/Certifications:

  • RCP State License in the state of California
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) (American Heart Association only)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Preferred/Required for NICU
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS/ALS)- preferred
