Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Our UCLA Health Neuropsychiatric Hospital is seeking to hire a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to help support our Adult PHP Program. This specialized program provides comprehensive, high-level mental health care to adults experiencing severe mental illness. Our multidisciplinary team delivers care through group therapy, individual psychotherapy, and psychiatric medication evaluation in a supportive, evidence-based setting. As a LCSW you will:

  • Formulate individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive patient assessments
  • Provide individual and/or group psychotherapy
  • Document and enter patient information accurately and timely into medical record
  • Evaluate patient needs and refer to additional or alternative levels of care as appropriate
  • Develop and implement social work interventions aligned with treatment goals
  • Discuss charge plans and ongoing treatment recommendations with patients and the care team
  • Identify collateral contacts and gather relevant information from external sources
  • Facilitate meetings with patients’ support system

Please note: this is a 7 month limited appointment that may convert to career


Salary range: $54.54/hr - $65.18/hr

Job Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Social Work

Current valid California licensure as a LCSW (preferred)

Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and DSM diagnostic criteria

Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting

Strong ability to build rapport with patients and families

Demonstrated ability to complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner

Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn and use UCLA CareConnect software

Excellent organizational, self-management, and time-management skills

Strong oral and written communication skills
