Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Our Department of Psychiatry at UCLA Health is seeking to hire a full-time Scribe to support both the Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program and the KidsConnect Program. You will provide critical administrative support to enhance the quality and efficiency of patient care. You will assist physicians with documentation and data gathering in both clinical and administrative settings. Primary duties include:
  • Accurately transcribe information into patient charts based on interactions, chart reviews, and physician input
  • Document medical records for inpatient, outpatient, and partial program services
  • Review documentation with physician after each visit to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate closely with the assigned physician and clinical team to support coordinated patient care
  • Other duties as assigned

Salary range: $23.58/hr - $33.05/hr

Job Qualifications

Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
Prior experience with electronic medical records (highly preferred)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Knowledge and skill using various computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and basic database software
Ability to distinguish different exams and medical diagnoses
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible schedule
