Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional administrative support? The Comprehensive & Urgent Care Ophthalmology clinic in Westwood is seeking an enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to deliver a smooth patient experience. This position will be the first point of contact for the patient visiting the clinic. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Guide patients through check-in/out processes
  • Ensure accurate registration and insurance verification
  • Schedule appointments
  • Respond or route patient messages

Salary Range: $26.42-37.49. Hourly

Job Qualifications

Required: 
? Working knowledge of medical terminology and diseases, as it applies to the eye.
? Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a medical office.
? Familiarity with current patient billing practices.
? Knowledge of current governmental programs to ensure reimbursement.
? Experience scheduling patient appointments in computerized appointment scheduling system.
? Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain records in a clear and orderly manner at the direction of the Office Manager.
? Sufficient computer keyboard skills to perform appointment scheduling, encountering, emailing, and other related computer tasks.
? Ability to prioritize tasks in a systematic manner to maximize efficiency.
? Ability to work with frequent interruptions and to complete assignments in a timely manner.
? Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
? Ability to multitask effectively.
? Flexibility and adaptability given the dynamic nature of medicine and departmental needs.
