Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Administrative Float Pool is our in-house temporary staffing service that supports the needs of our extensive system of award-winning hospitals, clinical practices, the David Geffen School of Medicine, and more. This unique opportunity will allow you to gain exposure and experience in a top tier healthcare organization.

In this role, you will be able to develop and advance your skills, network with faculty and staff while providing temporary staffing services to a wide variety of departments. Administrative Float Pool employees have the opportunity to advance into career positions within UCLA Health.

Administrative duties of this position will range from front office assistance to providing executive-level support to office managers and department directors. Our Administrative Float Pool services various departments and provides temporary staffing to roles such as:
  • Administrative Assistants
  • Administrative Specialists
  • Clinical Research Coordinators
  • Finance Professionals
  • Payroll Coordinators
  • Medical Administration
    • Hospital Assistants
    • Lab Assistants
    • Practice Coordinators
  • Human Resource Professionals

Salary Range: $29.42/hr-$42.14/hr

Job Qualifications

We are seeking customer service-focused individuals with a wide range of administrative and professional experience, as well as:
  • 2-3 years of prior related experience in clerical or clinical administrative support, preferred
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Expertise with a variety of office equipment
  • Excellent communication and phone skills
  • English comprehension, including business/medical correspondence, etc.
  • Availability to work various days/shifts and occasional weekends
  • Ability to travel to various UCLA Health locations
