Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Pediatrics is seeking to hire a full lime Academic Personnel Analyst lo be responsible for high-level analysis, oversight and administration of Academic Personnel Services to assure that these services are performed effectively and provided on a timely basis. Emphasis Is placed on meeting deadlines, analysis and completion of projects. Duties include but are not limited to: academic review process; dossier coordination, and salary administration; acting as liaison with the Dean's office, the Academic Personnel Office, and other internal and external agencies; updating the departmental database with approved actions and new appointees; and providing pertinent information to inquiries about Academic Personnel issues.


Salary Range: $76,200 - $158,800 Annually

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • Requires thorough knowledge of and ability to apply / interpret organization and college policies and procedures which govern academic HR
  • Thorough knowledge of organization and college goals, priorities and values and the legal and human implications of decisions.
  • Thorough knowledge of systemwide and organization policies, union contracts, procedures and practices that govern academic HR administration
  • Knowledge of trends in academia, especially in areas of academic planning, human resource management and administration.
  • Ability to analyze complex management issues, develop project scope and solutions, give professional advice to senior officials and make critical decisions regarding personnel
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
  • Excellent critical and innovative thinking to address moderately complex issues and present nuanced analyses.
