Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In this highly visible Administrative Assistant role, you will provide both administrative and patient care support while serving as an important connection point throughout the patient experience. As a valued member of the Neurology Clinic team, you will help coordinate seamless patient flow from registration through discharge, ensuring every visit is efficient, compassionate, and patient focused. Your ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and collaborate with clinical staff will directly contribute to exceptional patient satisfaction and smooth day-to-day clinic operations.

Salary Range: $26.42 - $37.49/Hourly

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with physicians and staff in a high volume setting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments.
  • Skill in efficiently and accurately facilitating the appointment making process, including transportation arrangements and maintain sub-specialty physician schedules.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate multiple appointments with staff from many clinical services at the UCLA Medical Center.

Preferred:

  • Skill in using a PC with associated programs including Word, Excel, and Email.
  • Skill in demonstrating work experience with a database computer program.
  • Knowledge of major medical insurance plans and types of coverage provided.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
