Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Medicine is seeking to hire a motivated Administrative Coordinator is to oversee and execute a broad range of administrative functions to support the operations of academic and/or non-academic units within the Department of Medicine. This role may encompass areas such as finance, human resources, information technology, facilities, and student services. In this role, you will manage day-to-day operations as well as contribute to long-term strategic planning, ensuring alignment with the department’s mission and goals. This includes guiding and coordinating the work of multidisciplinary teams and supervising staff to ensure the effective delivery of services across units. The Administrative Coordinator plays a key leadership role, providing insight and direction on operational matters and serving as a central resource for both internal and external stakeholders.

Hourly range: $31.20-$49.77

Job Qualifications

Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
    • Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns
    • Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing. 
    • Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
    • Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
    • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
