Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Provide high-level executive support to a department Chair, Dean, and/or Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), serving as a key strategic partner in department operations. Under general direction, this role performs complex, analytical, and professional duties that directly support senior leadership. Responsibilities include reviewing and synthesizing reports, conducting in-depth studies on administrative and operational procedures, and preparing data-driven recommendations that may impact multiple departments and major financial areas.

You’ll lead cross-functional projects, support strategic initiatives, and act as a liaison between leadership and internal/external stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of organizational policies and procedures, coupled with the ability to apply advanced management analysis techniques to solve challenges and drive continuous improvement.

Salary: $31.20 - $49.77 hourly

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience and/or training
  • 5 years minimum of Business operations and/or administration experience
  • Strong written skills to prepare accurate, concise, and clear reports and document
  • Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with University-wide and campus-wide Administrators, Deans, Department Chair, faculty and staff both orally and written
  • Knowledge of academic and/or administrative structure of institutions of higher education
