Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Ambulatory Nursing Data Analytics Manager is responsible for coordinating and supporting Ambulatory Nursing operational and clinical improvements and providing statistical and analytical support for ongoing projects and analyses. Improvement and analytical initiatives for the ambulatory nursing clinic areas will be defined by the Chief Nursing Officer of Ambulatory Nursing and other nursing leaders. The areas of responsibility include developing and supporting operations improvement initiatives and tracking progress of operational and clinical performance across the Ambulatory Nursing Department. 

Salary range: 78,800-175,000 annual

Job Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business, Statistics, Health Care Management or related field or equivalent experience
  • Clinical or quality-safety background highly desired
  • Advanced skill in managing administrative support personnel for the Department of Nursing including data analysts.
  • Skill in interacting with members of the organization in ways that enhance understanding, respect, cooperation and problem solving.
  • Demonstrates a leadership style that builds and maintains a climate of trust and inspires commitment from others to achieve organizational goals.
  • Exhibits skill in organizing material, information, and people in a systematic way to optimize efficiency and minimize duplication of effort.
  • Ability to apply and implement performance improvement methodologies with unit management, teams and individuals integrating departmental and organizational goals and objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and analyses, data base management and relational databases.
  • Knowledge in building reliable databases for clinical and operational data for the purpose of analyzing and improving clinical and operational performance.
  • Knowledge of nurse sensitive outcome data or health care data management.
  • Ability to organize, display, synthesize and communicate data for the purpose of improving outcomes.
  • Ability to oversee the development and maintenance of a departmental and unit-based dashboard including displaying of organized data on each unit. Examples include clinical data related to nurse-sensitive measures such as infection prevention and medication error prevention and operational data such as throughput and systems projects.
  • Ability to provide oversight of credentials, competency databases and collection and analysis of personnel data.
  • Ability to submit data to national data banks for comparison and benchmark purposes, providing unit-based and departmental data for departmental operations reviews.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relations with internal and external personnel.
  • Proficient in Advanced Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint,.
  • Proficient in Tableau
