Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Analytics Delivery Specialist is responsible for supporting the analysis and development of reporting and analytics solutions for UCLA’s electronic health record (EHR) system by gathering business needs, documenting requirements, identifying existing reports and tools that meet the needs of stakeholders, and delivering them to stakeholders. 

The Analytics Delivery Specialist will support the Business Intelligence Operations team by triaging report requests, triaging Epic released upgrade documentation for review, and completing workflow optimization projects.  The Analytics Delivery Specialist will facilitate access and training related to OHIA’s product offerings and promote adoption across customer groups and the UCLA Health self-service analytics community.  The Analytics Delivery Specialist will develop and nurture business relationships by understanding customer needs and matching those needs with exiting or future OHIA products and solutions and will have a full understanding of OHIA’s product offerings and develop marketing materials related to those offerings.      

This flexible hybrid role allows for a blend of remote and on-site work, requiring presence on-site at least 5-10% of the time, within 96 hours notice of being asked to come on site, or as needed based on operational requirements. Please note, travel to the “home office” location is not reimbursed. Each employee will complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager to outline expectations and ensure mutual understanding. These arrangements are periodically reviewed and may be adjusted or terminated as necessary.

Salary offers are based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full salary range for this position is $68,800 - $141,000 annually. The University anticipates offering a salary between the minimum and midpoint of this range.

Job Qualifications

At least 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare organization.
Equivalent experience in a programming/analytic/information systems role, with an emphasis on SQL programming.
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.   
Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional judgment and discretion in interacting with physicians and senior management on sensitive political and confidential issues.
Proficiency in spreadsheet and database applications including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and other database management and business intelligence software. 
Experience managing customer accounts or customer groups 
Technical skill and/or ability to acquire in-depth knowledge and use of Business Intelligence products with a solid knowledge of the Business Intelligence industry and data visualization best practices 
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment 
Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating. 
Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments. 
Strong written and oral communication skills 
Strong interpersonal skills. 
Excellent customer service orientation  

Preferred: 
One or more Epic Clarity Data Model certifications.
Knowledge of current issues in data management and SQL particularly in a healthcare environment including quality measurement, outcomes studies, healthcare finance, and patient safety.
