Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Our Santa Monica Orthopedic Surgery Clinic is seeking a full-time Clinic Coordinator to support physicians, patients, and care teams. In this role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for patients, coordinate care and appointments, facilitate communication between providers and patients, and help ensure a seamless patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient appointments, procedures, referrals, and follow-up care.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, physicians, hospitals, and referring providers.
  • Manage patient communications via phone, MyChart, and Epic/CareConnect.
  • Process referrals, authorizations, prescription refill requests, and patient documentation.
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorizations as needed.
  • Support care coordination initiatives and hospital discharge follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and assist with clinic operations.
Salary range: $30.36/hr - $43.49/hr

Job Qualifications

Experience working in a healthcare, medical office, or outpatient clinic setting

Strong customer service, communications, and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced envronment

Experience with scheduling, patient registration, and care coordination

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR)

Experience with Epic/CareConnect (preferred)

Knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, and authorization processes

Experience in orthopedic, surgery, or a specialty clinic (preferred)
