Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Maintenance and review of patient medication profiles; reviewing and verifying physician medication orders and patient medical record. Interacting with healthcare professionals and providers to help promote safe medication use, prevent inappropriate or misuse of medications; provide clinical pharmacy services (e.g., pharmacokinetic dosing, therapeutic interchange, IV/PO conversions, clinical protocols per pharmacy and pharmacist interventions). UCLA Health is a world-renowned health system with four award-winning hospitals and dozens of primary care practices, specialty practices, urgent care centers, and other ancillary locations throughout metro Los Angeles. Hourly Salary Range: Step 1, $85.87 - Step 9, $100.58 (Step based on years of experience)

Bargaining Unit: HX - UPTE

Job Qualifications

We are seeking an exceptionally-skilled and compassionate pharmacist with the following qulifications: 

  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree
  • California Pharmacy license 
  • ASHP-accredited PGY2 oncology residency or at least a minimum of 2 years of pharmacy practice experience in oncology
  • Recent clinical oncology experience (within 5 years)
  • Board Certification in Oncology (BCOP) preferred
  • Previous infusion pharmacy experience preferred
  • EPIC/Beacon experience preferred
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform age specific and disease specific pharmacokinetic calculations
