Primary Duties and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for leading and facilitating quality improvement and safety initiatives as part of our commitment to becoming a transformative, high-reliability organization with an uncompromising focus on patient safety and outcomes. This will involve serving as a content expert, performance improvement facilitator, educator, and consultant. You will collaborate with physician and nursing leadership, clinical staff, and administrative/operational staff to help achieve the best outcomes and patient experiences. You will be responsible for data and event monitoring, peer review coordination, education, and facilitation of QI efforts utilizing Lean and other improvement methodologies. You will typically be focused vertically at the department and service line level but may also lead system-wide quality initiatives.

UCLA Health salary range for this title code is $112,900-256,900/annually. Please note that the department's target pay range is $150,000 - $178,000/annually. 

Job Qualifications

We’re seeking a self-motivated, results-driven strategic thinker with:

  • BSN and Current CA RN license, required
  • Three or more years of direct patient care/clinical experience, required
  • Two or more years of quality/patient safety experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
  • Commitment to making decisions in the best interest of the patient
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
