Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Use your expertise to make a difference while growing your career as a Development Associate at our Venice Family Clinic. As a Development Associate you will help increase fundraising from individuals, corporations and foundations for our programs. With guidance and direction from the Director of Individual and Corporate Development, you will support the individual and corporate development team’s administrative and operational needs including proposal and report coordination, grant and sponsorship deliverables execution, fundraising support for both cash and in-kind gifts, as well as support for large scale mailings. This position will partner with colleagues who work on major gifts, direct mail, grants and events to develop coordinated strategies for approaching donors (individual, corporate and foundation). The Development Associate will also manage and steward their own portfolio of donors to retain and increase giving to the Clinic. 

Following the probationary period where on site work is required,  this is a hybrid role, which does require on-site work a minimum of 2 days per week.


Salary Range: $30.56 - $60.82 Hourly

Job Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-5 years of relevant experience in a nonprofit fundraising setting. 
  • Proficiency with Salesforce database or similar relationship management system, Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to conduct data analysis and work with financial information. 
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills; ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and assignments. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with ability to present data in accessible formats within donors’ materials. 
  • Strong written communication skills including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into persuasive verbal proposals and effectively.
  • Skill in working as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues and using initiative to anticipate needs in areas of responsibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, with an interest in engaging donors and strengthening donor relationships.
  • Ability to travel to events or our other locations if needed, and ability to work occasional evenings and weekends if needed.
