Primary Duties and Responsibilities

You will make a meaningful impact on the lives of our youngest patients by joining UCLA Health as a Dietetic Assistant. In this rewarding role, you will collaborate closely with our Pediatric Dietitian Supervisor and Chief Clinical Dietitian to ensure the highest standard of nutritional care. Your responsibilities will include identifying patients requiring specialized nutrition, interpreting tailored feeding orders, and preparing breast milk and formula fortifications to support the health and growth of our pediatric patients.

Salary Range:$26.37-34.83/hr 

Job Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or 2 years of relevant experience in health, nutrition or dietetics (required)
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) certification (preferred)
  • Infant feeding technician certificate (preferred)
  • Healthcare experience with pediatric patients
  • Knowledge of preparing breast milk and formula recipes.
  • Ability to interpret medical nutrition orders and manage feeding plans.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and EHR systems.
  • Detail-oriented, compassionate, and team-focused.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends/holidays.
