Come join our Venice Family Clinic team as a Doula Job Training Community Coordinator and make a difference in the community. With guidance and direction from the Children First Early Head Start Health Services Manager, the coordinator will develop, implement, and monitor the pilot doula training and placement program. The Doula Job Training Community Coordinator will also link participants to alternate job training and placement programs, and work with multiple community partners.

Note, this position will work at our locations in Crenshaw (1161 Crenshaw Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90019) and at our Venice Family Clinic Warehouse (8933 S. La Cienega Blvd. Inglewood, CA 90301).


Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full salary range for this position is $54,500.00 - $103,100.00 Annual. The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is about $54,500-$70,000 Annual. 

Job Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of doula services, training requirements, licensing and business registration.
  • Associate’s degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training required.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English (written & verbal) language skills.
  • Knowledge of Adult Learning Theory and of children’s community health.
  • Knowledge of public health and related programs in the community.
  • Proficiency with computer data tracking systems and community assessment data.
  • Ability to recognize problem areas in health and prenatal. 
  • Public speaking skills, and the ability to relate well and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, parents and other agencies. 
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment and maintain all information in strict confidentiality. 
  • Ability to stay current of Doula requirements, services, and other applicable regulations/compliance requirements and provide timely updates on program procedures. 

Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education or Allied Health or equivalent preferred.
