As our Echocardiographic Technician Per Diem you will produce diagnostic images using ultrasound equipment. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic procedures, maintaining quality control and participating in meetings. The role involves supply monitoring, operating information systems, accurate billing and record maintenance. The technician ensures a clean, safe work area, assists with data collection, and adheres to schedules and patient care standards. This position supports cardiology services within our Santa Monica and Westwood campus areas. Rotations within this region are sometimes necessary and required to accommodate staffing needs.


Salary Range: $73.23 Hourly

Job Qualifications

  • Graduate of Cardiac Echocardiography Technology Program – required
  • Registered with ARDMS-RDCS (AE) for Adults or with ARDMS-RDCS (PE) for Pediatrics – required
  • BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross – required
  • At least 6 months of Adult Echo experience – required
  • At least 3 years of Adult or Pediatric/Fetal echo experience – preferred
  • Able to take call and report to duty within 60 minutes of request
  • Knowledge and ability to apply knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
  • Ability to apply theory to practice in the application of ultrasound technique to the clinical evaluation of the target anatomy
  • Ability to push the 500+ lb. echo machine for distances up to 100 feet within the office
