Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Under guidance from the CFO, the Finance Analyst 2 provides specific and general financial, accounting, and analytical assistance to support the departments' clinical, research, and education missions. Incumbent will support financial operations of the department, including coordinating and ensuring the accuracy and timely entry, analysis, and reporting of historical, current, and projected financial activity for all applicable Department funds. This role will develop and implement efficient financial management procedures and systematized accounting operations for maintaining financial control of the department accounts, in addition to analyzing, reviewing, and auditing data and expenses to prepare budget and variance analysis for the department.

Hourly Salary Range: $31.51 - $62.64. Please note the department’s target hourly range is $31.51 - $47.08.


Job Qualifications

Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Typically 1- 3 years of experience in financial management.
• Ability to recognize implications, propose alternatives, and recommendations and implement solutions, analyze information to determine programmatic needs.
• Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are changes in workload, changes in assignments, and a heavy workload.
• Skill in using Excel or other spreadsheet programs and database systems.
• Demonstrated writing skills to compose logical, comprehensive, and grammatically correct correspondence, procedures, and reports.
• Knowledge of university financial ledgers and accounting procedures.
