Under the guidance of the Department Chair and senior leadership, you will oversee HR initiatives for the Department of Radiological Sciences, encompassing faculty, residents and fellows, academic leaders and numerous employees from various departments across multiple locations in the LA County area.
Primary responsibilities include developing and administering HR programs, recruitment, onboarding, compensation, training, compliance, employee relations and maintaining compliance with UC policies and accreditation standards.
Additionally, the role involves financial administration related to salaries and payroll, supporting professional development, maintaining compliance with employment laws, and overseeing education programs for medical students, residents and fellows. As the HR Director you will also handle academic and staff personnel matters, performance management, benefits administration and executing current initiates that are conducive to a productive work environment.
Salary Range: $95,900.00 - $222,100.00 Annually
Job Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree – strongly preferred
· HRCI Certification - strongly preferred
· At least 5 years of experience working in and/or managing in an HR environment
· Demonstrated knowledge and skill in all phases of the School of Medicine academic personnel policies, Departmental Practice Plan, budgets, benefits, and academic personnel issues
· Extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources management, including recruitment, compensation, employment, employee/labor relations, organizational development, training, and data management
· Experience in developing job descriptions and performing analyses of jobs within the organization
· Experience in counseling and mediating personnel conflicts
· Detailed knowledge of employee relations matters, associated practices, procedures and laws regarding performance management, corrective action, and progressive discipline including termination of employment of both represented and non-represented employees
