Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Make a difference in the communities we serve as a Health Education Coordinator. With guidance and direction from the Director of Health Education, the Health Education Coordinator is responsible for all administrative services for the Health Education Department. The Health Educator Coordinator will:

  • Support program implementation and tracking process objectives, program deliverables, including data entry, file management, and logistics. 
  • Assist with coordination of meetings, reporting, general program support and other department needs. 
  • Assist with food security programming , which includes set up and take down of food events, packing food for distribution, food distribution, participant intake and volunteer oversight. 
  • Participate in community events; assist with focus groups and need assessment and advisory group meetings. 
  • Maintain documents that support the Health Education Department.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by management. 


Salary range: $30.56 - $60.82 Hourly. Target range for this position is $30.56 - $40.00 Hourly.

Job Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Experience working in an administrative support or executive assisting capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills, writing skills, and public speaking skills. 
  • Strong organizational, initiative taking and problem solving skills
  • Skill in the development and delivery of health education programs and services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher), and ability to compose various business correspondence including special reports.
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and handle multiple tasks, prioritize and complete assignments on a timely basis.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to interact with staff and people from diverse cultural, ethnic, social and economic backgrounds.

Preferred:
  • Bilingual in Spanish (read, write and speak Spanish).
  • Working knowledge of the health promotion and education field
