Join one of the nation’s leading health systems in a vital leadership role as our Investigational Drug Services (IDS) Research Pharmacist. You will be responsible for the coordination and supervision of pharmacy operations related to investigational and specialty drug services. As the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for an outpatient pharmacy, you will ensure regulatory compliance, patient safety, and support for cutting-edge clinical trials. In this role, you will provide oversight of clinical programming and investigational protocols, act as a subject matter expert for USP <797> and USP <800>, and help shape departmental policy and culture. You’ll supervise and mentor a dedicated team, lead educational initiatives, interface with IT systems, and act as a critical liaison between pharmacy, prescribers, and external stakeholders.

Schedule: varied shifts, depending on department needs, including weekends and holidays
Annual Salary Range: $116,500.00 - $282,300.00

We’re seeking a dedicated clinical professional with:
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Active California Pharmacist licensure in good standing, with the ability to obtain licensure in multiple other states (e.g., Indiana, Kansas, Arizona, Nevada) within 3 months of hire
- At least three years of research pharmacy experience, including investigational drug services and regulatory compliance
- The ability to serve as a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for outpatient and specialty research settings
- Experience in sterile product preparation, USP <797> and <800> standards, and investigational drug protocols
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including training, scheduling, and performance oversight
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems (e.g., EPIC/Care Connect), with the ability to interpret labs and clinical data
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and interfacing with IT to support safe medication practices
- A commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and supporting clinical research at the highest standard
- Board certification (BPS) and completion of PGY1/PGY2 residency - preferred
