Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Laboratory Assistant will assist in ordering, receiving, and distributing laboratory equipment and supplies and maintaining stock solutions. You will also help with preparation for experiments by preparing standardized media, reagents and solutions. Additionally, the Laboratory Assistant will help with construction, assembly, and preparation of laboratory equipment. Administrative work will also be required, including maintenance of records and workspace. You will be expected to follow all laboratory safety practices. 

Please note that this is a part-time one-year limited position, and may convert to career.


Salary Range: $19.90 - $23.04/Hourly

Job Qualifications

All Required:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED), and one year of laboratory experience or two years of college including courses in natural, physical, or social sciences, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
  • Ability to follow through with tasks and prioritize work under general supervision and demonstrate excellent organization.
