Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Lab Asst. II will be conducting behavioral training experiments with rodents. You will be responsible for data collection, scheduling undergraduate students to run experiments, and perform general laboratory duties including the generating of spreadsheet data summaries in Excel. You will also be required to help transport rodents to an MRI facility off campus and take part in lab and center meetings each week.
Please not this is a full-time limited position that may convert to career.
Salary Range: $22.02.- $25.90/Hourly

Required:
- Mouse handling and some experience with basic behavioral tasks.
- Good PC Skills, with ideally some knowledge of python, R or Matlab.
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility in responding to changing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills.
- Ability to work independently after training and some continued supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with and sustain cooperative working relationships with undergraduate students and lab scientists.
- Ability to learn rapidly and follow through tasks with details.
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science degree in biological or equivalent or related fields.
