Primary Duties and Responsibilities

As a Lead Custodian, you will be responsible for assigning daily tasks, inspecting completed work, and training custodial staff in proper cleaning procedures to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety. This role also involves performing hands-on custodial and janitorial duties to support the hotel’s daily operations.

Schedule:
This position requires schedule flexibility. Shifts may vary and include:

  • 5:00am – 1:30pm

  • 6:00am – 3:30pm

  • 7:45am – 4:15pm

  • 10:00am – 6:30pm

  • Occasional overnight shifts for special cleaning projects

Weekend, weekday, and holiday availability is required, based on operational needs.


Salary Range: $21.91-26.21/hour

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cleaning, janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or a related service industry role (preferred)
  • Familiarity with a range of housekeeping equipment, including:
    • Standard and wet/dry vacuum cleaners
    • Floor machines and high-speed buffers
    • Carpet extractors and furniture cleaners
    • Waxing and stripping tools
    • Pressure washers
    • Auto scrubbing machines
    • Use of ladders
  • Basic understanding of labor hours, cleaning schedules, industry standards, and training procedures
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Capable of working independently and solving problems with minimal supervision
