Primary Duties and Responsibilities

As the Medical Assistant III (MA3) you will play a crucial role in patient care by supporting physicians, nursing and technical staff. You will take vital signs, update medical histories and prepare patients for examinations. Our MA3 will manage patient flow, be accountable for telephone encounters and set up examination rooms, ensuring efficiency and readiness for appointments. Additionally, you will communicate important clinical information, serve as patient advocates and handle designated clinical care telephone interactions.
Salary Range: $28.06 - $37.02 Hourly
Job Qualifications

- Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate from a secondary, post secondary or adult education program – Required
- BLS certificate from American Heart Association or American Red Cross – required
- At least 4 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a large healthcare system – preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC (EHR/EMR system) – preferred
- At least 4 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a large healthcare system – preferred
- Knowledge of normal and abnormal symptomatology and life-threatening medical problems
- Knowledge of normal and abnormal symptomatology and life-threatening medical problems
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals with compassion
