The Medical Student Coordinator manages the following: coordinate 4th year medical student electives; manage visiting student applications for medical student electives through the AAMC Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO) platform; coordinate the Department of Medicine Visiting Student Scholarship Program; coordinate undergraduate research courses; provide administrative support to faculty and students for the David Geffen School Of Medicine Specialty Advisors for Career Exploration (ACE) Program; and provide back-up support to the Internal Medicine clerkship coordinator.
Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full hourly salary range for this position is $32.76 - $49.65. Please note that the department’s target pay range is $32.76 - $40.73.

Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related and/or equivalent experience/training.
- 1+ years’ experience coordinating an educational program(s) in an academic medical center or other relevant experience.
- Proficient with or ability to quickly learn Microsoft Office programs, and dean’s office database management programs and web-based applications.
- Presents and expresses ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience, whether oral or written. Actively listens to what others are saying to achieve understanding. Shares information with others and facilitates the open exchange of ideas and information.
- Ability to manage confidential information discreetly and responsibly; ability to follow FERPA regulations.
- Open to change and new information; adapts behavior and wok methods in response to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles. Acclimates quickly to new situations warranting attention and resolution.
- Demonstrated commitment to knowledge development/professional development.
- High degree of initiative and independent judgement.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills; strong attention to detail. Ability to complete work and meet established deadlines in an accurate and timely manner, and to manage short and competing deadlines.
