The Nurse Practitioner (NP) functions as an Independent Provider by implementing approved standardized procedures (SPs) for the UCLA Department of Interventional Radiology in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Through the use of these SPs, the NP conducts clinic consultations for Interventional Radiology patients, provides pre-procedural planning and post-procedural follow-up, observes patient response to treatment, and performs minor IR procedures.
The NP performs comprehensive histories and physical examinations for complex cases requiring advanced clinical knowledge and skills. The role includes extensive pre-procedural assessments and clinical follow-up following interventional procedures. In addition, the NP provides patient and family education, participates in research initiatives, and is actively involved in quality improvement efforts to promote safe and continuous patient care.
This NP will mainly work at RRH (Westwood) with occasional cross coverage to Santa Monica Hospital and West Valley (WVH) as needed.
Salary range: $93.81-$133.97/hourly
Job Qualifications

BCLS and ACLS Certification from AHA- required
PALS Certification - (preferred)
Master's Degree from an NLNA accredited university/institution
Active license in the State of California in good standing: CA RN and CA NP
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner - Nationally Certified
DEA license (preferred - may be obtained within 6 months of hire date)
Furnishing license (may be obtained within 6 months of hire date)
Minimum 2 years ICU experience- required
Radiology experience -preferred.
