Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Incumbent will perform duties as a Operating Room Assistant to include: patient care; blood products, specimens, and equipment transport; equipment maintenance, room readiness, restocking supplies, cleaning soiled supplies, storing and distributing anesthesia support materials. Other duties include, but are not limited to: customer service and departmental efficiencies. The OR Asst is under the direct supervision of the MSO, Charge Nurse or OR lead member. Assignments are given according to organizational goals.

Salary range: $25.67-$25.67 Hourly

Job Qualifications

We’re seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated professional with:  

  • Knowledge of body mechanics principles.
  • Ability to read and speak English to obtain or provide information.
  • Skill in setting priorities to complete work in a timely manner.
  • Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Skill in performing under the stress of frequent interruptions and /or distractions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with peers, nurses, and physicians.
  • Prior experience with direct patient care required.
