Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Venice Family Clinic is a leader in providing comprehensive, high-quality primary health care to people in need with compassion, dignity and respect. In November 2021, Venice Family Clinic merged with South Bay Family Health Care, uniting more than a century of experience helping patients regardless of their income, insurance or immigration status. The organization now has more than 500 staff who serve 45,000 people from the Santa Monica Mountains through the South Bay. Utilize your skills and experience, while making a difference in the community, by joining our Venice Family Clinic’s team as an Operations Manager.  This role oversees specialty service lines, departments, and program operations across our Venice Family Clinic site(s), ensuring efficient and high quality operations and services. The Operations Manager has overall responsibility for assigned specialty service lines, departments and programs to ensure efficient coordination, management of workflow, efficient implementation of new services. With guidance and direction from the Senior Director of Clinical Operations, the Operations Manager will also:

  • Ensure high quality, patient centered operations as prescribed by the Clinic’s protocols, policies, and procedures. 
  • Partner with department leadership and others to share decisions to ensure delivery of high quality, high performing and efficient care. 
  • Provide collaborative oversight for staff’s quality of work in assigned service lines, departments and programs. 
  • Ensure program goals are met and works collaboratively with others, including program managers, clinical and operations leadership, and the quality improvement team to improve systems and processes.   
  • Support related compliance activities and ensures compliance with policies and procedures. 
  • Respond to complaints and grievances related to their assigned service lines, departments, and programs.

The University of California, Los Angeles is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this position is: $102,500.00 - $227,700.00 Annual

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • 5 years of work experience and 2 years of management/supervisory experience in a healthcare or medical setting.   
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.  
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently use Health Information Technology (HIT) Systems, including running reports.   
  • Effective problem solving skills, and the ability to analyze and use data for decision making.
  • Interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively interact with people (while being strategic and diplomatic) and develop positive relationships while being tactful, respectful, and direct in communication. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible and extended hours and travel between sites as needed.
  • Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Next Gen or EPIC PMS/EMR.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish language skills.
  • FQHC/Community Health Center experience, and experience in specialty departments such as dental or optometry.
