Primary Duties and Responsibilities

This per diem position in the Prosthetics/Orthotics department is designed to provide on-site or on-call coverage for inpatient orthotics primarily on the weekends and holidays but could also include weekdays as needed.  The position is responsible to provide direct patient care for adult and pediatric patients requiring a variety of orthotic devices.  Duties include treating patients, fitting orthotic devices, taking inventory, documentation, stocking supplies, and interacting with staff, patients, volunteers and visitors.  This position requires someone who can work independently or with indirect supervision.  Holders of this job class are required to provide service to the multiple entities and sites affiliated with the UCLA Health including Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica.

Salary range: $43.56 hourly

Job Qualifications

  • This position requires an individual to be qualified to fit, adjust, and deliver orthotics and is certified with either ABC or BOC (for CFO, if not yet certified, it is expected that requirements for certification will be completed and any required tests will be passed within 6 months of employment). 
  • P&O staff working with CCS patients shall be CCS paneled or directly supervised by a CCS paneled staff member.  
  • Individual must be Basic Life Support Certified by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
