Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Under direct supervision of the Perinatal nurse manager, provide the perinatal team with the surgical instruments and other equipment needed to render care to perinatal patients.  Maintain a safe environment and work areas within the Perinatal unit.  Major functions include processing instruments and equipment from soiled to sterile; cleaning and setting up labor and delivery rooms; housekeeping; patient and specimen transport; supply processing; completing work within shift time frames; training new team members; and collaborating with all team members.

Salary Range: $26.04 - $34.34 / hour

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or proof of equivalence, required
  • Previous work experience, required
  • Previous hospital experience, preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience, preferred
  • Fluent in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English
  • Ability to perform all physical requirements pertaining to the following:
    • Maintenance of a clean patient environment
    • Transport of patients
    • Delivery of nutritional services to patients
    • Maintenance of patient care supplies
